Step 2 of Seven Steps To a Productive Downline.
Yesterday we looked at how you can become the sponsor that you would like to have. Today we will look at the next step in getting a productive downline. I would rather call it your team because it is only through team work that you will achieve success in your Network Marketing business.
Step 2 - FIND OUT WHAT YOUR PROSPECT WANTS... UNCOVER THEIR NEEDS
To start with, you have to find out:
Is your prospect too deep in debt or can they afford advertising?
Do they just want to make a few extra bucks each month?
OR
Do they want to build a major business with residual income for years to come?
You have to ask them direct questions like:
"Can you tell me why you are looking into Internet Marketing as an income?"
"Tell me about your last experience with a Home Business or will this be your first time?"
If you listen well, you will be able to help your individual team members to achieve their goals. Remember that we are all different. More than 95% will never answer you, but that is OK. Work with the 5% that are responsive. They are the doers and they will become your next level leaders. Do not waste your time on people that do not want to be helped. They will always blame the system or find fault with something else. They will even blame you for being a lousy sponsor while they will be too lazy to do anything for themselves.
What is the real purpose of contacting a prospect or lead? If your answer is to sell them your product or service, you are on the wrong track. If it is to uncover their needs and to help them to see how your business can solve their problems, then you will have success. Your prospect or new member may have a completely different reason for wanting to get involved in a Home Business. You might have joined to make it your full time business while they might have started it to pay off a loan.
Find out what each of your team wants from their Network Marketing. Sometimes you have to help them to understand why they have started the business. Help them to achieve their goals as soon as possible. Then teach them to do the same for their prospects. If you are able to do these simple things, then you will be amazed at your and your team's success.
Let us recap:
First find your leaders by asking them questions.
Then help them to get success in their business.
Teach them to do the same with their team.
In my first month with the SpiderWeb Marketing System, I was only able to recruit 157 new leads with only four that signed up for GDI. By applying the above principles, my team and I were able to more than triple the numbers in the second month. I am certain that anyone of you can do the same.
