Step 3 of Seven Steps To a Productive Downline.
Yesterday we looked at what your prospects needs are and today we come to one of the most important steps in building a productive downline. This step should actually come before the previous step, but I first wanted to explain the philosophy behind it.
Step 3 - SEND EACH NEW MEMBER A PERSONAL WELCOME EMAIL FROM YOU
Welcome them as soon as possible so that they will know that they are important to you. Tell them something about yourself. How old you are; where you live; if you are married; if you have kids.
Get to know them by asking questions about their previous experience. Give them your personal email and telephone number. Invite them to contact you if they have any problem setting up their SpyderWeb System. Do not tell them what to do! First get acquainted before making any suggestions of how to run the business.
Keep in touch with all of them for the first few weeks. Do not only rely on the automatic emails that the system will send them. It is necessary so that they will immediately recognize your name and your emails. You will have to earn their trust before they will follow you as their leader. You can achieve this by giving sound advice. Things like where to find good f'ree leads or how to use the Traffic Exchanges properly. Tell them how they can save lots of m'oney with Google AdWords by only using the content ads and to switch off the expensive search ads.
To quickly find your leaders, give your team a small assignment like reading an eBook. When enough time has passed, ask them to tell you what they have learned and how they think it could help in their business. From their answers, or lack of it, you will immediately know who your potential leaders are and who would value your priority help. Those who give you feedback are those you will want to keep in touch with more often.
There will always be the moaners and whiners for whom nothing works. Those are not worthy of your help and they will not last long in any case. Encourage them to unsubscribe and move on. This brings us to the next step in our quest to build a powerful downline. Tomorrow we will look at how you can avoid time and energy leeches.
Thank you for your tremendous feedback on these articles. I have never realized how big the need is and I appreciate all your hints and requests for specific help. Soon I will give you samples of my emails that I use with my prospects.
To your new members success,
Matt Maré.
