Yesterday we looked at how important it is to welcome your new SpiderWeb members. Today we will look at ways how you can avoid time and energy leeches. It is very important in any business to keep your focus on the most important issues. You need to be able to use all your energy to build your business. Unfortunately there are lots of things that can waste your precious time and energy. All of us get an equal amount of time and you have to use it with care. Some of us have more energy than others. I do not have the same energy that I had when I was still a young man, but with age you learn to use your available energy better. For instance you can set your alarm clock for half an hour earlier. I have found that I am able to do much more early in the morning when I am still fresh and before the telephone starts ringing.

Step 4 - AVOID TIME AND ENERGY LEECHES

Quickly sort through your emails in the morning and find the important ones. It is a good thing to have several different email addresses. Your personal address you only give to near friends, associates and team members. Use a general address for other people and only give a bulk address to Traffic Exchanges or other list building sites like FFA sites. Then you only have to check your personal mailbox and you can just skim through the general mailbox. Leave the rest for later in the day when you have done all the important stuff first.

Test your team by asking them what they would do with an extra $100 per week. You should get several answers. Now ask those that responded if they would be prepared to do something to earn it. If they agree, give them a link to buy a $5 eBook with resale rights, within 24 hours. The leeches will never do it and you can concentrate on your special team that will follow your lead.
Help them to teach their team to buy the eBook as well. In this way they will immediately get a return on their investment and they will see how they can sort their leaders from the pack.

Your attitude should be:

"Why should I show you how to earn an extra $100 per week?"

Instead of...

"Please won't you look at my business opportunity?"

You will have more time and energy left for the more important things like finding new ways to generate more targeted traffic to your sales pages. Concentrate on the things that will build your team and build your business. Do not waste time on people that will never understand the value of having a business with several residual income streams. Although it might take some time to build a successful business, you will never be sorry for the effort that you have put into it to make it work. Once you have build your list to a thousand, you can relax a bit and you will be able to afford a manager or two to help you run your business while you try to spend some of your wealth!
