Foolproof Marketing Strategies Part 3
Last time we looked at the strategy of concentrating all your marketing efforts in promoting your list building program. Today we will focus on the strategy of building a relationship with your new list. Before we delve into this strategy let's first look at an Internet Marketing Blueprint. There may be many variations of Internet or Network Marketing but all of them have these basic parts.
1. Develop a Good Capture Page
This is a web page with the sole purpose of getting your new prospects to subscribe to your list. Normally this page consists of an eye-catching headline and some bullet points to emphasis the benefits of your program, product or service. Some gift is offered to further encourage your prospect to opt-in to your list. A form supplied by your Auto-Responder service allow the new lead to enter their name and email address. Finally assure the new subscriber that his details will be safe with you and that you value their privacy.
2. Drive Traffic to Your Capture Page
Use all means possible to drive targeted traffic to your capture page. Yesterday we looked at the importance of testing your marketing campaigns. The more targeted your traffic, the higher your opt-in rate will be. By making valuable contributions to Forums where your ideal market gathers, will get you super targeted traffic with a very high opt-in rate. You have already shown that you deliver information of a high value and that will bring you very responsive prospects for your list. Writing and submitting good quality articles is another excellent way of obtaining high quality leads. By split-testing your capture pages you will be able to steadily increase your rate of capture.
3. Determine Your Offer
Part of this should be determined by the type of list you have. Do not try to sell hang-gliders to golfers unless you want your members to un-subscribe in large numbers. Your offer should be relevant to what your list members want if you think of having any success as an Internet Marketer. It can be your own product (preferably) or it can be an affiliate product or service. It can even be a product for which you have obtained the license to sell it as your own, as long as you can make a profit on it.
4. Decide upon a Subject Line for Your Email
This is one of the most critical things to do to ensure that your subscriber will even notice your email among all the other emails they receive daily. You can send a personal email to each member but when your list is bigger than 10 or 20 it is much easier to do it automatically through an Auto-Responder service. You can broadcast your mailing to your whole list or it can be a single email as part of a series loaded in your Auto-Responder. It is very important that you should do everything in your power to ensure that your subscriber will notice your email and force them to open it. Your subject line should be attention-grabbing as well as making your member curious to see what is hidden inside. It is critical that they should read your email to have any success.
5. Direct the Response of Your Subscriber
The main purpose of sending your list an offer is that they should take action. Sometimes your mailing will be to provide your prospect with quality information like an article or newsletter. Or it can be an advertisement for a specific product or service. Never advertise more than one product in a single email. Giving your prospect a choice might cause them to do nothing because of indecision. Sometimes your email may consist of a combination of information and an ad. Ensure that they take action by spelling out what you want them to do like: "Click this link to download the file." Get them to respond to your email even if you send them only information. Ask them if they found it helpful or if they want different information. A responsive list is an educated list and it is your duty to educate them.
6. Defeat the Spam Filters
Tests have show that only 46% of all email gets delivered at all. You have to do whatever you can to prevent the spam filters to block your emails. Check your emails for words that can be seen as spam. These are words like 'free', 'money' or 'buy'. Some innocent phrases might also cause problems like 'as seen on TV'. Send a link in your email for your member to download a PDF file with the bulk of your article, report, newsletter or ecourse.

This is an overview of running your online business. Your main strategy should be to build a good relationship with your members so that they will look forward to receive your next email. If you send them only ads one after the other you will soon find that your list is shrinking in stead of growing bigger.
The only way in which you can develop a good relationship with your list is to be honest with them at all times even if it might hurt your business. Always supply them with the best information you have available. True value will always win the day and even if your prospect cannot afford what you have to offer, they will be ready to promote your business or help you in any way they can. In giving you this ecourse at no charge I have tried my utmost to supply you with good, solid information that you can use to grow your online business. I have never tried to force you to invest in anything except to give you my honest advice. I have only promoted services that I have used myself and only if I have been able to easily recover my investment.
Never try to be any different to what you are. If you are new to Internet Marketing tell your list members that you are a newbie. They will appreciate your your honesty and you can still supply them with valuable information by telling them of the things that you have done wrong. It might help them not to make the same mistakes. Contact your sponsor to help you with good value that you can pass on to your downline. They will gladly help you as much as they can because if you are successful in your business it will be to their benefit as well. None of us know everything at any stage and we can always learn from each other.

I have learned a lot from this young man and can promote his work with no reservations. Do not try to work through these videos in one sitting but schedule half an hour each day to work through it. It will be worth every minute you spend studying his methods.
What have we learned today?
Why do I use the term "we" when I ask this question? When I compile these files for the eCourse I learn as much as you do and sometimes even more. You might try setting up your own report as well. When you start doing it, you are forced to organize your thoughts and to study other people's work to get ideas. In the process you pick up things that you might easily miss while just reading an article or report.
Today we have learned that it is crucial to build a relationship with your list. You will be far better off having a small list of 500 where they trust you and respect you in stead of having a list of 5,000 who does not know you at all. Do not try to send your list promotion upon promotion without giving them valuable input first. It is not a trade but a way to show your credibility. There is no replacement for true and honest value. Never pretend that you are different from what you are - people can see right through you and it will do you more harm than good. When I started out I was often tempted to make belief that I was longer in the game than I actually was. If I now read what I have written then, I can clearly see that people would realize how new I was. Honesty will always win in the end. If you get asked a question that you do not know the answer of, tell the person that you do not know but that you will contact your sponsor or the owner of the program to find the answer. They will respect you for your honesty and trust you more in the future.
