Seven Steps to Massive Exposure of Your Website

This is a screen capture of my CapturePros Affiliate Workshop Google Analytics for Nov. 2009. It is interesting to see that more than 70% of all visitors are now using Mozilla Firefox as their browser. Google Chrome is steadily catching up on Internet Explorer as well. I see also that I will have to work on my site to keep people longer on it. The bounce rate is something to smile about as it seems that the visitors actually find what they were looking for.

Now let us look at the seven steps that I took to achieve these results:

Step One:

Send an email to your list of subscribers and follow-up with a few more with your link to your website. If you still don't have a list then it should be your first priority for 2010. Without your own list you will never reach financial independence. Affiliate Workshop was specifically developed to help you build your list and also build your team of affiliates at the same time.

Step Two:

Create a splash page with your CapturePage creator in NPN with your website link. Then submit it to your favorite Traffic Exchanges and surf at least half an hour each day. TE surfers don't have time to fill in a form while they surf so create your link so that it will open in a new window. When they have finished surfing they can look at your offer with more interest and subscribe.

Step Three:

Send mailings through the Safelists as often as it is allowed. Try different subject lines to improve your open rate of your emails. Try sending your emails at different times of the day or days of the week until you find the best option. Step Five:

Use HTML ads on your Thank You, Login or Logout Pages. An Easy way to create your own HTML ads at no cost is by using . If you have a Gmail account you can already use Google docs. It is as easy as typing an email using their WYSIWYG editor. First insert a table to have a border for your ad and choose your background color. Then add your text and graphics. When done just open [Edit] from the top menu and select [Edit HTML]. Copy the code and plug it into your web pages where you want to display the ad. You can even use Google docs to create your own viral PDF reports and ebooks as well.

Step Six:

Post your HTML ads either as an Unadvertised Bonus or Today's Special Free Bonus on your web pages. How about a Fast Action Bonus or just as a 'Next Step' in your sales funnel. Don't forget about your 404 - Page Not Found either.

Step Seven:

Add some banners and text ads to your Safelist Rotators to get even more exposure. The click-through rate might not be great but it will also help with branding your business. Tests have shown that people have to see your offer at least 6-7 times before they will take action.

Here are some results of my marketing the past month of Nov. 2009.

As you can see your own list will always yield the best results plus a good signature line shown in the right places will do good as well. Sometimes the number of visitors will be high but the conversion rate low and sometimes the conversion rate will be very high but the subscriptions low. In the last instance it can mean that you should think about upgrading in that Safelist to reach more prospects like with List Insomnia and Advertise Free For Life.

Note: These are my affiliate links and I will earn a commission if you upgrade in these programs. The results that I have received is probably above average because the average user will normally take less action.

The main lesson that one should learn from these figures is that it is essential to keep track of your visitors. Without stats you will always shoot in the dark and you will miss more often with your ad campaigns. With useful stats you can take better decisions.

The Devil is in the Detail of Setting up Your Membership Site.

Anybody that has created a membership site will tell you that it is no easy task. There are so many little things that you have to keep in mind. Even if you make use of the best software solution there are still lots of things that need your attention. And I am not talking about the design and layout of the system. That will be the least of your problems.

First you have to decide what type of membership it will be. Will you have only a free membership and monetize it with back-end sales or will it be a paid membership? Will you have a single tier membership or multi-level? Each of these types of membership has it's own pros and cons.

Secondly you have to decide if you are going to allow affiliate promotion of your membership and how you are going to handle it. Will you offer a single tier affiliate system or multi-tier? What percentage commission will you offer?

Thirdly and most importantly you have to make up your mind about the content you will offer to your members. Will you make use of PLR content or are you going to create the content yourself? This last option can be a daunting task to keep up with month after month. Or would you concentrate on providing software and scripts for your members?

As you can see it is not something that can be accomplished overnight and many days of long hours can be your cross to carry. Then only do we come to the detail. Say you have decided to offer an affiliate program. Do you offer your affiliates promotional material or a tracking system for their ad campaigns? If you can, it will make their life so much easier and you will see better results. Will you password protect the content and how will you handle your customers login details? Will you send it by email or will it be displayed on the download page?

There are several options for the distribution of the content. Will you offer only personal use of it or will you allow resale rights? And what about Master Resale Rights or even Private Label Rights? Do you have the means to re-brand reports, e-books or even software? These are basic things that you need if you want to go the viral way. That is to make content available that will entice your members to distribute it quickly to earn good income but at the same time it will give you exposure for your membership and other back-end offers.

One of the best pieces of advice I discovered in my research of memberships is to offer Wholesale Memberships. This offer will allow your JV partner to sell a predetermined number of your memberships for their own account. This will immediately build your numbers substantially and although you do not make any money directly, you will have the opportunity to bring your up-sell offers to proven buyers. Your JV partner will be happy to promote the site because they can easily earn a substantial monthly income without having any headaches about support and delivery of content. To sweeten the pot you can even offer them a Platinum upgrade for that matter. This will enable them to promote your site even better when they see everything that you have to offer.

The main objective should always be to deliver just quality content and if you can find or create original material it will always be in high demand. The cost of your membership should be about 25% of the value of the content. An easy way to determine the value is to break it down in chunks. For example the cost of an original article, like this one you are reading, can be about $7 while that of a 10-15 page report can be about $15. Say you can create an e-book of 35 pages for $50 complete with e-cover. Now add a sales page, order page and thank you page for $200. If you supply 10 articles, 3 reports, an e-book with complete sales page then the total value would be about $365. You can then easily charge $91 per month and it would be good value for money.

The 1980's and 1990's were times where bigger was better. Bigger houses, bigger salaries, and bigger cars were the products of choice in the marketplace with excess money to spend. It is not only new entrants that fail with online marketing. Just visit a few forums and you will soon realize that several people have been trying their hand at this for years and they are still not making any real money.

If you study these cases in depth you will soon see why they are failing.

Most people start by joining one program and learn everything they can from it. They even manage to get some decent traffic and sign up a few members. So did Harry also join a few and started writing articles that he posted to Ezine Directories. If John had picked up on this information, which is readily available in his back office of program ABC, he should have spent some time to get to know Lucy and Harry better.

Lucy and Harry went on to build huge lists in program ABC and steadily increased their income to 4, 5 and even 6 figure incomes. Had John stayed with the program he would have shared in their success and he could even have started JV projects with them.

Most of the time it is not just numbers that count, but a few hard working affiliates in your business can mean the difference between long term success and a miserable failure.

Distractions are the Biggest Problem for Most to have Online Success

The other day I got an email from Perry Marshall, the Google AdWords specialist, in which he gave some excellent advice.

He said that you need only two things to have online success:

The more one thinks about this concept, the clearer it gets.

If you concentrate on a single traffic generating option, the better you will get at it. The same goes for converting them into sales. If however you keep jumping from program to program you will never be able to build any expertize or momentum.

This is no easy question. Take for instance the process of using Traffic Exchanges to get free traffic. One thing that I have learned in my relative short career as an Internet Marketer is to look for somebody not too advanced that have cracked the code of making money online. A person who just recently has been able to make his first $1,000 per month will be much better qualified to show you how you can do the same. They can still remember how difficult it is to earn your first $100 online. Most of the time they will have achieved it with a single program or marketing system. This will eliminate a lot of confusion for the new marketer if they can be show this single proven way of making their first sale.

Why Newbies Fail.

In my opinion newbies fail due to the lack of education plus information overload. Please let me explain what I mean by this statement. I have been an Engineer for 28 - no it is already 29 years now. First I had to get my degree which took me 4 years and then I had to work as an Engineer in training for another 3 years. I worked for 15 years before I achieved Professional status.

Let us compare this with a total newcomer to Internet Marketing. They get told about people making millions with a Home Business Online and they believe that they can achieve the same within three weeks. They start looking around and get sucked into one scheme after the other. The one program will tell them to do this and the next just the opposite. Not strange that they get confused and run out of money before they achieve any success with their business.

When I started my Internet Marketing career I first did some research to find out who are the people that have real success with their online business. Then I subscribed to their newsletters and I visited the forums that they suggested. I decided which topic would interest me most and I did some research to find out what is available and how people make money with it.

With the help of the search engines you can virtually find any information you want on the Internet. (Side Note: When you are interested in a new program first find out who the owner/founder is and then Google his name and the name of his company. This way you will get all the background information and you will be in a much better position to decide if it is worth spending any money there.)

Give yourself some time to get "educated" and then decide what you want to do. Jumping from one new launch to the next will be a certain recipe for failure. Focus all your resources on the single task to build your list. Build a relationship with your list members and find out exactly what they want. Find a solution for their problems and create or find a product or service to help them grow their business, reach their goals or find what they are searching for. This way you will achieve your goal of making money online.

There are certain skills that you have to learn first and you will have to realize that you have to invest some money in necessary tools for the job. You have to be able to create a good landing page or capture page and you need to invest in a good Auto-Responder Service. You need to know how to generate free targeted traffic for your landing page and you have to be able to load your Auto-Responder with an email series that your new members will open, read and act on. Last time we looked at ways to build a good relationship with your list members. We learned how important it is to supply them with valuable information to enable them to build their businesses. Today we will look at ways to create your own product.

To have your own product should be your goal from day one of starting your own online business. You can make good money by selling other people's products or services but it will never come near the potential income of having your own product. Once you have created your own product, you will be the only one that knows exactly what it can do for your client. Your passion in creating the product will spill over in your marketing and you will have more success.

How do you decide what product to create?

With the first strategy we learned that you first have to find a ready market before you start looking for a product to offer your new market. When you have established a list, that is your main market. Your duty is to find out what your list members want. While building your relationship with your list, you should ask them about their problems they have with their business. Visit the forums that your members use and look at what they discuss. Look for recurring questions or hot topics. This should give you an indication of what your market is looking for. Do research to see if you can find a solution to their problems. Start to answer their questions in the forums and always provide a link back to your capture page.

If you start getting sign ups from these posts you will know that you are on the right track. It is very important that you keep copies of all the questions and answers. This can be the foundation of your new product. The next step should be to write a short article about your new found topic. Post your article to several ezines always with a link back to your capture page. Track this link to see what reaction you receive. If it is positive then do more research to see how you can add to your article to turn it into a 10-15 page report. Offer this free report to your list and ask them what they think of it. If you receive any response then update your report where you received negative results and enhance your report with the positive results.

A good way to get people to respond is to ask them for their testimonials and then offer to publish it in your report with their name and link. To add to the value of your report you can read your own report and make an audio recording. Another easy way to create a new product is to create a web tutorial with screen capture video of using a certain program or service like setting up an Auto-Responder. Have your affiliate link ready in the tutorial so that your new students can subscribe to the service through your link. You offer them the tutorial at no cost but you can still make money while you supply them with good value. In the process you build your relationship with your list as well. Create a series of such web tutorials and you have the best part of a back-end product. Burn these to physical DVDs and you have a product with a much higher perceived value.

Create Your Own Membership Site

One of the best products to have is not always a single product but it can be a service that you offer your list. They might have problems getting their list members to open their email. Offer to supply them with unique Subject Lines for their email that will force their members to read it. Buy a good eBook with examples that you can use or subscribe to every "guru's" mailing list that you can find and harvest their Subject Lines. This way you will always find fresh idea's to offer your list and you might even start a membership site. This is probably the best "product" to have where you will receive recurring payments each month. You can quickly build a large membership if you supply your members with valuable stuff that they can use in building their business.

There are so many options that you have that it will be impossible for me to list them all. Your main strategy should be to start creating your own product as soon as possible. Start small and test your results. Discard failures and move on to the next idea. As soon as you find positive results work on it more. Add to it with audio and video. Foolproof Marketing Strategies Part 3

Last time we looked at the strategy of concentrating all your marketing efforts in promoting your list building program. Today we will focus on the strategy of building a relationship with your new list. Before we delve into this strategy let's first look at an Internet Marketing Blueprint. There may be many variations of Internet or Network Marketing but all of them have these basic parts.

1. Develop a Good Capture Page

This is a web page with the sole purpose of getting your new prospects to subscribe to your list. Normally this page consists of an eye-catching headline and some bullet points to emphasis the benefits of your program, product or service. Some gift is offered to further encourage your prospect to opt-in to your list. A form supplied by your Auto-Responder service allow the new lead to enter their name and email address. Finally assure the new subscriber that his details will be safe with you and that you value their privacy.

2. Drive Traffic to Your Capture Page

Use all means possible to drive targeted traffic to your capture page. Yesterday we looked at the importance of testing your marketing campaigns. The more targeted your traffic, the higher your opt-in rate will be. By making valuable contributions to Forums where your ideal market gathers, will get you super targeted traffic with a very high opt-in rate. You have already shown that you deliver information of a high value and that will bring you very responsive prospects for your list. Writing and submitting good quality articles is another excellent way of obtaining high quality leads. By split-testing your capture pages you will be able to steadily increase your rate of capture.

3. Determine Your Offer

Part of this should be determined by the type of list you have. Do not try to sell hang-gliders to golfers unless you want your members to un-subscribe in large numbers. Your offer should be relevant to what your list members want if you think of having any success as an Internet Marketer. It can be your own product (preferably) or it can be an affiliate product or service. It can even be a product for which you have obtained the license to sell it as your own, as long as you can make a profit on it.

4. Decide upon a Subject Line for Your Email

This is one of the most critical things to do to ensure that your subscriber will even notice your email among all the other emails they receive daily. You can send a personal email to each member but when your list is bigger than 10 or 20 it is much easier to do it automatically through an Auto-Responder service. You can broadcast your mailing to your whole list or it can be a single email as part of a series loaded in your Auto-Responder. It is very important that you should do everything in your power to ensure that your subscriber will notice your email and force them to open it. Your subject line should be attention-grabbing as well as making your member curious to see what is hidden inside. It is critical that they should read your email to have any success.

5. Direct the Response of Your Subscriber

The main purpose of sending your list an offer is that they should take action. Sometimes your mailing will be to provide your prospect with quality information like an article or newsletter. Or it can be an advertisement for a specific product or service. Never advertise more than one product in a single email. Giving your prospect a choice might cause them to do nothing because of indecision. Sometimes your email may consist of a combination of information and an ad. Ensure that they take action by spelling out what you want them to do like: "Click this link to download the file." Get them to respond to your email even if you send them only information. Ask them if they found it helpful or if they want different information. A responsive list is an educated list and it is your duty to educate them.

6. Defeat the Spam Filters

Tests have show that only 46% of all email gets delivered at all. You have to do whatever you can to prevent the spam filters to block your emails. Check your emails for words that can be seen as spam. These are words like 'free', 'money' or 'buy'. Some innocent phrases might also cause problems like 'as seen on TV'. Send a link in your email for your member to download a PDF file with the bulk of your article, report, newsletter or ecourse.

This is an overview of running your online business. Your main strategy should be to build a good relationship with your members so that they will look forward to receive your next email. If you send them only ads one after the other you will soon find that your list is shrinking in stead of growing bigger.

The only way in which you can develop a good relationship with your list is to be honest with them at all times even if it might hurt your business. Always supply them with the best information you have available. True value will always win the day and even if your prospect cannot afford what you have to offer, they will be ready to promote your business or help you in any way they can. It might help them not to make the same mistakes. Contact your sponsor to help you with good value that you can pass on to your downline. They will gladly help you as much as they can because if you are successful in your business it will be to their benefit as well. None of us know everything at any stage and we can always learn from each other.

Here is some free videos to help you with your email promotions. It was created by the master of email promotions Michael Rasmussen and he calls it Email Promos Exposed. I have learned a lot from this young man and can promote his work with no reservations. Do not try to work through these videos in one sitting but schedule half an hour each day to work through it. It will be worth every minute you spend studying his methods.

What have we learned today?

Why do I use the term "we" when I ask this question? When I compile these files for the eCourse I learn as much as you do and sometimes even more. You might try setting up your own report as well. When you start doing it, you are forced to organize your thoughts and to study other people's work to get ideas. In the process you pick up things that you might easily miss while just reading an article or report.

Today we have learned that it is crucial to build a relationship with your list. You will be far better off having a small list of 500 where they trust you and respect you in stead of having a list of 5,000 who does not know you at all. Do not try to send your list promotion upon promotion without giving them valuable input first. It is not a trade but a way to show your credibility. There is no replacement for true and honest value. Never pretend that you are different from what you are - people can see right through you and it will do you more harm than good. When I started out I was often tempted to make belief that I was longer in the game than I actually was. If I now read what I have written then, I can clearly see that people would realize how new I was. Honesty will always win in the end. If you get asked a question that you do not know the answer of, tell the person that you do not know but that you will contact your sponsor or the owner of the program to find the answer. They will respect you for your honesty and trust you more in the future.

Yesterday we learned to search for an easily targeted eager market first and then to supply them with what they want. The second step is to build a list of prospects and to educate them to become eager buyers of what we have to offer. We can obtain both these objectives by using the system called the AllNetworkers Team or Instant Traffic Secret.

(Why do I give you a choice of two programs? I only have proven results for ANT because Instant Traffic Secret is still relatively new. I have personally used ANT to build a huge responsive list in only a few months. After studying Instant Traffic Secret I am 98% certain that it will work as well as ANT but I still need to test it. With the Internet you can never be certain if a system will work before you have thoroughly tested it. I do believe that Instant Traffic Secret will turn out to be a bigger winner than ANT.)

Yesterday I told you that the first mistake most people make is to concentrate on the product first. Today I am going to tell you that the second mistake is not to concentrate on a single product. This might sound confusing to you but please let me explain it. Yesterday the emphasis was on finding the right market before focusing on the product. Today I would like you to only focus on the product and specifically on only one product or service.

The second biggest mistake most people make is to jump from the one program to the next. Always looking for that magic solution that will make them money with virtual no input from their side. I am sorry to tell you but no such magic program exists. You either have to invest your time and/or your money to make a success of any business. If the choice of your list building program is based on a solid foundation then you will make a success of your business if you stick to it. Most people does not allow enough time for any program to show sufficient results before they jump at the next big "launch". This is a big mistake.

Today's main strategy is to make your choice and then stick to it come what may. Focus all your effort on this single system and it will bring you results. It does not mean that you can only promote a single offer. With ANT you can build multiple lists in all kinds of programs while marketing two of your main businesses by promoting a single link. With Instant Traffic Secret or ITS for short, you can promote 5 of your own businesses even as a free member.

If you have more than one program to promote and you would market them in the Traffic Exchanges, you will have to surf much longer to have the same exposure for each program. If you have only one link to promote, you will need to surf only a fraction of the time to get the same results. By promoting only ANT we know that you have even better results because ANT is targeting the market in such a way to ensure success. If you focus all your effort on the same thing you will become so good at it that you will beat your competition easily.

There is one situation and only one where you would promote two links. This is when you have your own capture page for ANT. There are actually two reasons why you would create your own capture page. The first one is to lower the competition and the second is to build your own independent list with which you can follow up through an Auto-Responder.

If all of us are promoting the same capture page in the same Traffic Exchanges, and Safelists for that matter, it will soon become very crowded and we will have to compete against each other. By having your own capture page it will be unique and we can all promote the same system without competing directly against each other. The second benefit will be that we can do split testing to see which page works best. By changing a single word on your capture page you can sometimes double your results.

Testing Your Ad Campaigns

Testing what you do is one of those secrets that can bring you success much faster than when you neglect to do it. To be able to do proper testing you need an Ad-Tracker. This is a program that will tell you exactly how many people have clicked your tracking link. Once you have this information you can determine which page is doing better. By using both links in the same Traffic Exchange you will soon see which one is drawing the most clicks. At first the ANT capture page will be difficult to beat but when you get some experience in creating your own capture page, you will soon find ways to beat it. One of the first things you should try is to personalise your capture page. Put your name and contact details on it and even use a picture of yourself.

Your next question might be: "Matt, where do I find such an Ad-Tracking service and what will it cost me?" There are good free services like TrackThatAd but I must urge you to go for a paid solution in stead. Only if you are really working with an ultra low budget would I advise you to use any free service. There are several reasons to opt for the paid option. The first one is always that you get what you pay for - if you pay nothing then chances are good to receive less. Paid services normally involves no advertising that can distract your clients and will show you as being a professional marketer.

You need not search very far to find such a professional Ad-Tracking service which was specially developed with you as Home Business Owner in mind. The program is called Global New Plan Network and is the first program being promoted in ANT. NPN for short is a treasure chest of tools put together for the end user. This program will provide you with all the necessary tools to run your online business effectively at a price lower than what you would normally pay for an Auto-Responder alone. I have been using this program for more than six months now and I still regularly find new ways to enhance my marketing.

One often hear about selling shovels in stead of digging for the gold. This is very true in Internet Marketing and NPN is a perfect example of it. When you promote NPN through ANT, you are providing the "gold diggers" with the necessary tools to get to the gold.

You earn a monthly commission of $5 for each Pro member and $10 for each Plus member you refer. In the second month I nearly doubled my income without promoting NPN once. All I had to do was to promote ANT.

What have we learned today?

First of all we have learned that it is best to concentrate all our marketing efforts on a single program. Next we should test our marketing to find what is working and then concentrate our energy and time on what is actually working. This way we will stop wasting time on things that does not work. When we do spend money on an advertising campaign we will know that it is money well spent. The best investment we can make in our online business is to obtain the necessary tools for effective marketing. These are tools like Auto-Responders and Ad-Tracking services. One of the best sources for these tools is the Global New Plan Network.

It is not the only source of these tools but it is the only source I have found with all of them under one roof. One of the best Auto-Responder services is AWeber but the MultiSponder Elite of NPN has all the facilities as well at a fraction of the price. TrackThatAd will track your ads but the Multi-Ad Tracker of NPN will do it without any distracting adverts. Instant Squeeze Page Generator will supply you with a free capture page but NPN's CapturePage Creator Elite will do it so much better. If you do not have the funds use the free services but sign up for NPN as soon as you can afford it because it brings a new dimension to your marketing.

We call it a funded proposal. It is a program that all your subscribers need to run their business and it supplies the funds for your marketing. NPN has the highest commission rate at the entry level, yet you can earn any income you choose with their ladder system. You can even downgrade without loosing your downline if you would choose to do so. I do not know why you would ever do it because why would you like to earn less if you can earn more. I do not know how Geoff can do it, but he pays you 100% commission on each new referral like clockwork on the 10th of each month. What makes it even better is that the income you receive is a residual income and you will receive it each month as long as you stay a member.

I do not want to sound like a salesman but this program has brought me such excellent results that I cannot stop praising it. For the Internet where most programs do not last longer than three months, NPN might be considered ancient but it is still delivering the goods. In my opinion it is the best investment that you can make to further your career as an Internet Marketer. Maybe their members say it all - there are more than 70,000 at the end of 2008.

Next time we will look at another strategy to build your online business even further. The main thing is to concentrate all your efforts in building your list of prospects. Put your affiliate link for ANT in each and every signature file of each email you send and also when you do a post in any forum. Only market ANT and track each marketing campaign and you will soon have a list of thousands. Once you have such a list you will own a very valuable asset that will bring you an income over and over. Soon you will be rid of all debt and you can start building your wealth!

The REAL Secret to Building A High-Profit Internet Business

My wife laughs every time she sees me doing it.

At least once or twice every week, I'll be at my desk (or
at the dining room table) with my Franklin Covey planner
open and a stack of laminated checklists in hand.

"What are you doing, honey?" she calls, already knowing
the answer.

"I'm planning," I reply with a smile.

She laughs and I get back to work.

She laughs because she swears I spend half of my time
"planning". But, if you ask me how I'm able to get as
much work done as I do in only 3 hours a day, I'll point
to a black Franklin Covey planner with about a dozen
laminated checklists inside.

Building an Internet business is easy. Seriously. I'm
not saying that it's not complicated, because it is. I'm
just saying that it's easy to accomplish if you just have
a system in place.

There's very little in this world that can't be
accomplished with the right set of action steps in front
of you.

Today, I'm going to give you such a system for building
your Internet business. There are only 4 steps...

1. Decide What You Want To Do. Do you want to run an
eBay(R) business? Be an affiliate marketer? Buy and sell
reprint rights? Get involved in niche marketing? While
all of those things will likely find their way into your
plan in time, you gotta begin with one thing at a time.

My recommendation: Choose a "broad" topic you are
interested in and begin building a list of folks interested
in that topic.

2. Determine A Weekly Action Plan. After you decide what
you want to do, it's time to determine how to get it done.
What I do is this: I create a weekly set of action steps.
That is,I have a set of things I do on Monday, on Tuesday
and so forth. Decide how many hours (as little as ONE) you
want to work each day and schedule yourself a reasonable
amount of things to get done in that time frame. Repeat
this process week after week.

My recommendation: Begin writing ezine articles to
promote your list ... and affiliate programs. It's the
easiest way to get free traffic and build your list at the
same time.

3. Devote Yourself To Staying On Schedule. The important
thing here is to stick to it. The easiest way that I know
of to make certain you develop discipline in your schedule
is to NOT set unrealistic expectations. Give yourself ample
time to do each day's action step - don't overschedule.
Look for progress along the way to celebrate. Reward
yourself when you've reached a milestone. And, remember,
you're GROWING a business. Just like physical growth, it
takes time ... it WILL happen if you remain committed.

My recommendation: Weave in simple activities related to
the following categories - List building (ezine articles),
product creation(conduct interviews or hire ghostwriters),
site development (making your site convert more visitors into
buyers)and education (continuing to learn new ways to grow
your business)

4. Develop Additional Shortcuts. As you get better and
better at working with your lists, creating products and
tweaking your site,you'll want to continue to improve your
business with new ideas,strategies, tools and resources.
The key is simple: never stop learning!

Visit forums. Read articles. Download reports. Identify
sites and resources that CONTRIBUTE to your success in
educating you. You want faster results, bigger increases,
automated processes,and other ways to get more accomplished
and more profit, with less work involved.

Everything depends on you developing a plan and sticking to
it.

And that is the REAL secret to building a high-profit
Internet business!

It is much better to first find a ready market that is easy to target and then supply them with a product or service that they want.

You may think that everyone needs your product but it might be difficult to convince them to buy it from you. Yes, there is a huge difference between "want" and "need". You might need to take medicine for your high cholesterol each day but do you want to buy it? Only your doctor will be able to convince you to take it.

Do not try to sell any product or service online until you have found an eager market for it. First find the right market and then find what your market wants.

Now you may ask: "What is the right market and how do I find it?" This is a very good question to ask and luckily not very difficult to answer. The right market is any group of people that you can easily define and which is not difficult to reach online. For instance jewellers are an easily defined group of people and you will easily find them by searching for forums where they regularly meet. Just use Google or Yahoo to search for any forum where your group might gather to exchange views or ask questions.

Forums are also the place where you will find what your market wants. Look for recurring questions or basic problems that the users might have. Now find a solution for their problem and create a product that will give them the solution and you have a winner. This might sound very simple but it is exactly what you should do and it is not as difficult as you might think.

First of all you need not even create your own product to offer to your market. You can find products that already exist that will solve the problems of your new market. This does not mean that you will never create your own product. To create your own product will be one of the strategies we will investigate in great detail at a later stage once you have been able to build a list.

Who are the biggest group of people that is very easy to target on the Internet? The most people who visit the Internet are people who are looking for a solution to a problem they have or they are looking for some information. Recently most of them are looking for ways in which they can earn some extra money due to the worsening of the economy outside. At some stage most of these "newbies" will land up at the Traffic Exchanges as it is the easiest place to get free traffic. However they will soon realize that it is not so easy to sell any product there.

Let us examine the Traffic Exchange users in more detail:

Most of them are new to Internet Marketing
They want more traffic for their product link
They have a limited budget
They are looking for ways to make more money
They are looking for ways to earn more credits with less effort
They are not looking to buy any products
They would be interested in services that will help them to surf less with better results
Most of them get very poor click through rates and they do not know why they are not able to sell more products.

For those of you who are not familiar with Traffic Exchanges let me quickly explain what they are. It is a program where you can display your offer to others in exchange for looking at what they are offering. Most of the time you will earn 1 credit for every two pages that you view. Your offer will be shown to one person for each credit that you have gathered. That is why most users will only look at other pages to earn as many credits as quickly as they can. With browsers like Mozilla FireFox it is even possible to open several windows simultaneously and you can earn up to 5 or 6 times as many credits in the same time.

Normally you have to view a certain page for at least 10 seconds before you can move to the next. With FireFox you can open several pages at once and by the time you reach the last one, the time has lapsed and you can move on to the next page. This will cause your viewer to see your page for only 2-3 seconds. That will make it very difficult to sell your product directly to any Traffic Exchange user that are mainly surfing to earn more credits. But what if you offer them exactly what they are looking for - more free credits? With a good headline that will catch their attention and an offer they cannot resist, you might just get them to have a closer look at your offer.

What Product or Service Would Interest This Group?

Some way to learn how to make money online
A way in which they can get more free traffic to their website
Any product or service that is free and save them time
Some way to earn them more credits with less effort
To get more clicks while building a list of eager buyers
A way to automatically promote their offer without selling direct

How would you create a product or service that would combine a solution to all of the above? A training site to teach you all the necessary marketing skills you need to effectively market online would certainly help. If you can offer such a service at no cost to the user and still make money, then you have a winner.
