Monetise Your Capture Page.

Start Earning While Capturing LeadsMatt Maré

Now that you have registered your Domain Name, got it hosted and created your Capture Page it is time to start earning some money. Yes you have to make some offers while people are signing up to your list. This is the time when they are still "Hot" and you have to make full use of the opportunity.

How do you go about monetising your Capture Page? First let us have a look at your Capture Page again.

Your Capture Page

The first thing you must consider is what will you offer to the prospect to convince them to give you their name and email address? The next question is: "Why are you building your list? What is the theme of your site?" You need to attract people who are interested in your main topic so your gift must be relevant. We need targeted traffic to be successful marketers.

It is of no use to attract dog lovers if you are selling golf shoes.

On the other hand it may have a broad Internet Marketing appeal but you have to focus on one or more aspect of it. Like getting your own leads or getting more targeted traffic to your site or building your list. Establish yourself as the expert in your field. You may use the free to join Resale Rocket to find gifts to re-brand with your own links or even create your own with their build-in ebook wizard. Or use Instant Squeeze Page Generator with ready made gifts to create your own Squeeze Page.

Setting up your Squeeze Page

  • Keep it short and above the fold so that it is not necessary to scroll down to fill in the form.
  • It has only one purpose and that is for you to gain lots of new subscribers.
  • Offer some valuable incentive for them to sign up.
  • There should be no banners or other links that can distract your new prospect from signing up.

Main Components of a good Squeeze Page

  1. Strong outstanding headline - Stop them in their tracks - Make them read it.
  2. A few bullet points with benefits - make them curious - do not give away too much.
  3. Good clean image of your gift.
  4. Strong call to action - encourage them to act now.
  5. Short plain & simple opt-in form.
  6. Change the plain submit button to something compelling like: "Click Here for FREE Instant Access Now!"
  7. Promise not to share their details with anyone - Show that you are Anti SPAM - Link to your Privacy Policy

Monetize your Thank You Page

Never leave your Thank You Page blank. Now some of you might ask: "What is a Thank You Page and where do I get one?" Most of the AutoResponders will supply you with a Thank You Page that you can modify. It is the page that is shown to the new prospect after they have signed up for your list. Normally it tells them to look in their mailbox for an email with the confirmation link that they have to click before they will receive what they have opted in for.

  1. This is your first chance to earn money immediately by making them an OTO (one time offer). You may use OTO Goldmine to get such offers.
  2. You may also send them directly to a discounted Sales Page of your Primary Business to make a quick sale.
  3. You may also use an Ad Exchange like Advertising Know How to exchange ads to boost your list building.
  4. Put the options on your Thank You Page in steps as follow:

Step 1) Please open your Mailbox and look for the email with the subject line "Confirmation Needed"

Step 2) Click on the link indicated to receive your Gift download link.

Step 4) If you did not receive your confirmation email please get a free Gmail account and Subscribe again with your new email address.

Get people to Confirm Their Subscription

Convince people to confirm their subscription by telling them on the Thank You Page that they will not receive what they have subscribed for unless they confirm first. Give them a link to re-submit if they do not receive the confirmation email. Also give a link where they can sign up for a free Gmail account to get a more reliable mail server.

If your AutoResponder does not send a confirmation link automatically, set up the first letter in the series with such a link that will then send them to a new OTO page.

The next page can have an OTO or if you had one on your Thank You Page it can be a Sales Page for your Primary Business. At the bottom give "No Thanks" link that will take them to the Download Page for their "Gift".

Your Download Page

Provide your lead with clear step-by-step instructions on how to download their "Gift". Something like:

For Internet Explorer right-click on this link below and choose [Save as..] to download your ebook called "Recipe for Internet Marketing Success"

For Mozilla Firefox just click the link and it will show it downloading at the bottom of your screen. Once it is done, double-click on it and it will open with Adobe Reader (download it here) for you to read, save to your hard disc or print a hard copy of it.

Creating MLM Squeeze Pages

(This is a free offer relevant to your main focus of your web site with a OTO that can earn you some more commission if your lead go for it. Always make absolutely certain that these offers have real value for your new prospects. Never give them links to inferior stuff just to have a link. It will do your business more harm than the meager bit of cash that you might earn through it. Quality must always come first).

If you do not make use of these opportunities you may not complain later that you do not make money with your Internet Marketing.

Your second AutoResponder Letter

This letter is very important and will determine your future relationship with your new prospect. Do not pretend that you are different from who you really are. People can see right through your letter very easily. Just be yourself and do not be afraid to make them another offer if you have something really valuable that you can offer them. If you never make them another offer till your seventh letter, you might train them to become only freebie seekers. We are all in this to make mone'y - do not pretend otherwise.

  1. Thank your subscriber for the opportunity to be of service to them and welcome them to your newsletter, training site or as team member.
  2. Give them the download link to their "Gift" again in case they have missed it before. This will also remind them that they have already received something valuable from you.
  3. Make them another offer of good value to them in furthering their business.
  4. Hint what you intend to send them in the future and make them curious so that they will look out for your next letter. Tell them that you are going to send them more letters. Do not take it to heart when people un-subscribe early on. Those are the ones that will never succeed on the Net or spend any mone'y on anything.
  5. Always give your support email and tell your subscriber that you are available for any assistance that they might need.

If people do contact you then try to re-act as soon as possible and help them as much as you can. These will be the ones that will make a difference. Nine out of ten times they will become your main business partners.
