Tracking Your Links

Today we will look at the necessity of tracking your links when you advertise in Traffic Exchanges and Safelists. This is very important to know which media is working or which Safelist is just wasting your time and effort. It might be free advertising but all of us has got limited time and we have to use it optimally.

Yesterday we looked at the reasons why you need your own Capture Page. Now we will assume that you will use this Capture Page to get leads from the Traffic Exchanges or Safelists.

For those of you who have not yet signed up for the New Plan Network (NPN) in your All Networkers Team (ANT), you can use the free AdTracker program called TrackThatAd.com. Yes it is free but there is always a catch with free services. The tracking works well but they will display an advert bar above or below your web page that you want to track. It is not a serious problem but it can cause your page to take longer to open and your prospective lead might get distracted by the other ads on the bar.

The perfect solution lies in your NPN program which has one of the best AdTrackers that I have used. It is called Multi AdTracker and you can set up an unlimited number of tracking links when you are a NPN Plus member or higher. NPN Pro members can only set up five links.

Procedure for Ad Tracking:

Have your Capture Page link ready and log in to your tracking program. Copy your link into the slot marked URL. Now comes the important part. You have to give it a good descriptive name so that you will immediately know what you are tracking with this link. Always use the name of the advertising program or if you use this link in a signature link then also make mention of it.

Examples:

You are going to use Traffic-Splash to market your All Networkers Team link then your description can be "Traffic-Splash-ANT".

Or you might be posting to Conquer Your Niche and you have your NPN link in your signature line then use "CYN-NPN-sigg"

Or you are using your own Capture Page to get leads for ANT in the Safelist called ListAuction then use "ListAuc-ANT-Cap"

When you have posted an email to a Safelist give it a few days and check your AdTracker to see how many clicks your link received. Compare it with the other posts and you will soon discover which Safelist works best for you. You can also do tests with different Subject Lines to see which draw the most clicks. This way you can always improve your marketing. When you discover a new marketing opportunity you can always compare the results with your other ads to see if it is better or worse.

Remember that with Credit based Safelists like ListAuction you might get lots of clicks but no signups while with others like ListDotCom you get much less clicks. It does not mean that the latter does not work for you but only that people might only click the other links to earn credits. ListJoe - Credit based Safelist where you can mail to a maximum of 2500 per week. Through this program you can build several lists at once. You can even link your own lists that you want to promote to your downline. They even have a Forum where you can post comments with your link in your signature file.

Free Safelist Mailer - Credit based Safelist where you can mail to 32,700 every day if you have enough credits. As a free user they even allow you to use HTML in your emails. Look out for the Solo emails in your contact mailbox with which you can earn 1000 credits at a time. In their Safelisting101 (menu bottom left) you will find five good training videos for using Safelists in your marketing. They also offer Ultimate Safelist Survival for $9.97 but do not buy it there because you can download it here for free.

Global Safelist - Credit based Safelist where you can mail to 6740 every third day. They send you Solo-Ads to your contact email where you can earn 300 credits for opening each one. A quick way to build your credits. As a free member you get 500 credits for each referral and 30% commission for each upgrade.

Got Safelist - Credit based Safelist where you can mail to 2500 each and every day if you have enough credits. This is a new one and real responsive list with a high conversion rate. They already have more than 15,000 members and it will take you some time to reach all of them.

AdTactics - Credit based Safelist where you can mail to 5725 daily. You can also post free Classified Ads through them and you can post to their NetMarketing Forum.

Triple Your List - This list is a bit different from the rest. You only have to sign up and they will send you three leads every time the list recycles. At first it might be once a week but as soon as you start referring people to the list the tempo will increase and you can get several free hot leads each week. You can copy them directly into your MultiSponder Plus in NPN or email them once a week through Triple Your List. As a free member you cannot download your list but as an upgraded member you are allowed to download the whole list to your AutoResponder. This might be the one to consider upgrading in.

Next we will look at obtaining your Own Domain Name and setting up your own web pages just like these that you have been visiting. There are several programs that will supply you with a replicated site but there are several disadvantages in following that route. My way might take a little longer but you will be much better off later. There are numerous advantages in owning your own web site. The first is that you have full control and you will rate much higher with the search engines. That is our ultimate goal to get free traffic on auto-pilot.
